- Architected a local-first AI assistant with a persistent interactive CLI and responsive browser GUI, sharing reusable services for screenshot capture, OCR, model selection, conversation history and provider management.
- Integrated native macOS Vision, Quartz and Cocoa frameworks to capture active Chrome, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint windows, extract on-screen text and send multimodal context to OpenAI or Anthropic models using users’ private API keys.
- Built a secure bring-your-own-key workflow using macOS Keychain, localhost-only FastAPI endpoints, one-time launch tokens, authenticated in-memory GUI sessions, strict origin validation and redacted rotating logs with structured error IDs.
- Developed a Codex-style terminal experience with slash-command discovery, keyboard navigation, follow-up conversations, provider and model switching, clipboard code extraction and recoverable error handling without terminating active sessions.
- Created native installation and update tooling for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, including Python architecture validation, automatic virtual-environment repair, semantic versioning, GitHub Releases, deferred/skipped update controls and automated diagnostics.
- Established a 61-test regression suite covering GUI security, provider failures, architecture compatibility, update behaviour, session persistence and CLI interactions; bundled all frontend assets locally to support offline use without Node.js or a remote application backend.
